Motorcycle Championship Awards

The 2007 Champions Award Banquet is held yearly at the Rio Ballroom in Las Vegas Nevada, and was this year on November 16^th. The top finishers in each class of all disciplines of motorsport, (motocross, enduro, atv-racing drag-racing etc,) are awarded for their success and several other special awards are given as well.

 Cleveland, Texas was represented by area boys Josiah and David Mizell, who were present to receive awards for their accomplishments in Observed Motorcycle Trials. David, 15 yrs old, received his award for finishing 1^st in the AMA Youth National Class-A for 2007, while his older brother, Josiah 16 yrs, received his award for AMA Youth National Champion in the open class. This is Josiah’s second time to win this award, and becomes the first person to do it twice in the history of the Youth National Championship! Along with it he also was nominated for the second time as well, for AMA Youth Rider of the Year.

2006 Trials Champs

Caleb, Geoff Aaron, and Josiah at the 2006 AMA awards banquet in Las Vegas, where Caleb recieved award for 14 yr old class Youth national Champ, Josiah received Open Youth National Champ as well as being nominated for AMA Youth rider of the year. Geoff Received his 10th national Championship and second AMA Athlete of the year award. Geoff announces his retirement from competition and Gasgas after the 2006 season to continue doing his nationwide Demonstration shows on Montesa, while the Mizell Twins announce their sponsorship support from Gasgas!
